I culd not agree more. It is such a shame that we do not feel more comfortable getting praise and recognition for our accomplishments and our efforts.
Thanks to this post, I have convinced 2 of my friends, one of whom is an artist, to meet for a bit of B & B. Boasting & Bragging, will be the subject of our next get-together.
Thank you Jane for the kick in the butt.

This is a great example. Thanks for sharing how you take the time to celebrate and honor yourself after a job well done. Sounds like fun!

I can definitely relate to how difficult it is to talk about our accomplishments and then remember to celebrate them. But after a very long day yesterday and then again this morning preparing for a photo shoot of several interiors in a home I worked on, I took the whole afternoon off! And it was glorious. I met one of my dearest and most supportive friends for tea. We kicked back, chatted for hours and listened to a tape of his son's band at their first real NYC gig.

Then I was off and running for a networking event this evening. Though I was physically tired, I was spiritually renewed. And met three potential new business contacts. What could be a better testament to the benefit of stepping away from my business for awhile?
